Methodology
To find the best festivals in the world in 2024, we created an extensive list of popular festivals using lists such as those from Timeout and Planet Radio. We then found the number of searches each festival received globally over the past year and selected the top 50 for our list.
We then collected data across the following factors to build our index:
- The cost of a ticket
- The length of the festival
- The festival’s daily capacity
- The number of stages
- The number of artists
We used a combination of various sources to collect this data, including news articles, Wikipedia, and each festival’s own website.
Any festivals without complete data across all factors were removed.
This data was combined into a single score, giving each factor equal weighting.
