Looking closely at celebrity net worths, the highest-grossing films, the most expensive houses and more, experts at Slingo unveil Hollywood’s wealthiest stars.

Methodology
Using sources such as Forbes and The Numbers, we created a seed list of Hollywood’s wealthiest celebrities. We then used Celebrity Net Worth to gather data on each celebrity’s estimated net worth and ranked them to determine the highest-earning male and female stars. Data collection for this section was completed on 15/01/2024.
To get figures on the highest-grossing films of 2023, we used the worldwide box office earnings from Box Office Mojo. This data was updated on 19/01/2024.
For the most expensive homes in Hollywood, we used various sources, including Elle Decor and SCMP, to gather data on the celebrity houses worth the most. Figures for this section were collected on 15/01/2024.
To find out the top-earning influencers on Instagram, we first compiled a list of influencers from the top 100 social media influencers using Search Engine Journal. We then calculated their estimated Instagram earnings per sponsored post using Inbeat, taking the higher estimate. We did the same thing for the reality stars section using articles like WatchMojo. Data collection for both sections was completed on 19/01/2024.
We used Virtual Globetrotting to scrape the data for over 5,000 celebrity properties to source the number of homes by city. We analysed the data only considering each celebrity’s current home. Therefore, we did not include rentals, former homes, childhood homes, etc.
Using sources such as Timeout and Chef’sPencil, we gathered a list of expensive restaurants and also took down the average price per person where available. For some restaurants, we calculated the average by looking at the tasting or dinner menu and then finding the average price for all the dishes.
All figures were initially collected in USD but have also been converted to GBP using Google Finance. Currency conversion for all data was completed on 26/01/2024.
